Vice President Land & Business Development

Mr. Comstock currently serves as Vice President Land and Business Development and manages Tana's leasing, farm-ins, farm-outs and negotiation activities. Since the company's formation in February of 2002, Mr. Comstock has managed the growth of Tana's leasehold position from 0 to 70 leases, secured partners to participate in 95% of Tana's drilling activities and has added several drilling opportunities through leasehold exchanges involving Tana's existing lease inventory.

Prior to joining Tana, Mr. Comstock served as Offshore Land Manager for Apache Corporation from 1991 to 2001. He managed the growth of Apache’s offshore leasehold from less than 60 to over 300 offshore leases. He coordinated Apache's participation in twenty Federal Offshore Lease Sales including numerous Texas State Lease Sales. From 1988 to 1991, he was a Senior Offshore Landman with Union Pacific Resources Company where he negotiated farm-outs and leasehold exchanges and coordinated UPRC's participation in several Federal Offshore Lease Sales.

He began his career in 1980 as a Landman and performed a variety of assignments for Shell Oil Company, Shell Offshore Inc. and Shell Western E&P Inc.
